Le processus complet de fabrication de stands pour votre prochaine exposition

Most exhibitors see the finished stand, not how it came to be. Understanding the fabrication process — what happens between approving a design and walking onto a built stand — helps you brief better, spot a good builder, and know where things can go wrong. Here’s the process as we run it from our Frankfurt facility.

1. Design and approval

It starts with a 3D design built to your brief, your plot and the venue’s rules. Once you sign off the look, the technical drawings and, for larger or taller stands, the structural calculations go to the venue for approval. Nothing is fabricated until the design is locked and approved — changing it later is where cost and delay creep in.

2. Production in the workshop

With the design approved, the workshop fabricates the elements — walls, counters, headers, feature pieces — and the graphics are printed. This is where a builder with its own facility controls quality and timeline; a broker who subcontracts this step loses both.

3. Pre-build and inspection

A good builder assembles the stand in the workshop before it ever reaches the hall, checks the fit and finish, and fixes problems where there’s time and tools. We pre-build and inspect every stand in Francfort, so the on-site days are a known assembly, not a first attempt.

4. Freight to the venue

The stand is packed and shipped to the hall within the venue’s timed access window. Planned freight to the slot avoids the queues and surcharges that catch out last-minute shipping.

5. Install and dismantle

The crew installs during the scheduled build-up days, the stand runs the show, and the crew dismantles afterward — storing reusable stands for the next outing. Having the builder’s own crew on site is what turns a 7am problem into a fix rather than a phone call.

Foire aux questions

What are the steps in fabricating an exhibition stand?

Design and venue approval; production of the elements and graphics in the workshop; pre-build and inspection before shipping; freight to the venue within its access window; and install, the show, and dismantle. A good builder controls all of these in-house.

Why does pre-building a stand matter?

Because assembling and checking the stand in the workshop before it reaches the hall means the on-site build-up days are a known assembly rather than a first attempt — problems get fixed where there’s time and tools, not under pressure on the floor.
