It all began in 1981 when GITEX started its innings as the Gulf Computer Exhibition (GCE) at the Dubai International Trade & Exhibition Centre. The name subsequently, in 1988, was changed to Gulf Information Technology Exhibition (GITEX). Gradually it evolved from a regional event to a global event under the name GITEX GLOBAL.
The European edition of GITEX GLOBAL, called GITEX EUROPE, is taking place for the first time. It will be held in 2025 at the Berlin Exhibition Centre. Slated to be a major event, the focus will be on today’s hottest technologies, including AI, Big Data, cloud computing, green tech, quantum computing, cybersecurity, and more.
