A Guide to EUROBIKE for First-Time Exhibitors
EUROBIKE is the international trade fair for the bicycle and ecomobility industry. It was established in 1991, moved to Messe Frankfurt in 2022, and the 2027 edition runs 1–3 September in Halls 3, 4 and 5 on the eastern side of the grounds, arranged around the Agora outdoor area. Messe Frankfurt Exhibition GmbH has taken over decision-making authority for the show as the fairnamic joint venture separates.
Three changes matter more than anything else for planning. The dates move back to early September, which is where EUROBIKE last sat in 2021. The halls change, so nothing you learned about circulation in 2024 or 2026 carries over. And the format is deliberately more compact and more clearly business-to-business, with a shortened consumer element, workshops, training and start-up and innovation programming. Plan from the 2027 concept, not from the edition you last attended.
Who Exhibits and What Visitors Actually Want
The floor covers complete bikes and e-bikes, components and drivetrains, cargo and urban mobility, workshop equipment and tooling, apparel and accessories, digital services and micromobility. The visitor is a dealer, a distributor, a buyer, a product manager or a workshop owner, and a high proportion are decision-makers travelling internationally.
What they want is physical assessment. They will lift the bike, check the weld quality, work the gears and ask about warranty handling and spares availability in year three. Dealer conversations here are commercial rather than exploratory — margin, delivery windows, minimum orders — and they need somewhere to happen that is not the middle of an aisle. A stand that shows the range beautifully but has nowhere to sit and negotiate is only doing half its job.
Stand Size: Choosing Between 9, 18, 24 and 48 Square Metres
Nine square metres works for components, accessories, software and services — anything where the product is small, or is a specification and a conversation. You get a counter, a back wall and standing conversations, plus room to display a couple of bikes if that is your product.
Eighteen square metres suits brands showing a focused range and needing a real conversation, and it is the largest footprint we would attempt without dedicated lockable storage.
Twenty-four is the practical threshold for a bike brand showing a range: enough wall for the fleet at a height people can reach, floor for two or three bikes visitors can actually handle, secure storage behind, and a corner where a dealer conversation can happen sitting down. On the current EUROBIKE floor this is the size we recommend most often.
At 48 m² you can run a proper dealer programme with more than one meeting happening at once, plus a service or workshop demonstration. From 80 m² upward a double-decker puts negotiation upstairs and keeps the whole ground floor for product — which on a bike stand, where display area is the constraint, is usually the right trade.
What a EUROBIKE Stand Costs by Size
Ranges below are all-in for design, fabrication, graphics, delivery, install and dismantle. Because Frankfurt is our home venue there is no long-distance freight leg and no customs. They exclude the floor space rental you pay to Messe Frankfurt and the electrical and services orders placed with the venue.
- 9 m² modular: €4,100–€8,700
- 18 m² modular: €4,800–€10,100
- 24 m² custom with bike display and secure storage: €11,500–€15,000
- 30 m² custom with enclosed dealer meeting room: €15,000–€19,000
- 48 m² custom with dealer programme and service area: €19,000–€26,000
- 80 m² premium or double-decker: €34,000–€48,000
Common Mistakes, in Order of Frequency
The most common in 2027 will be planning from a previous edition's hall position, which no longer applies. The second is hanging the entire range too high — it looks tidy and it stops visitors doing the one thing that sells a bike. The third is having no lockable storage, so the fleet is carried out and back in every day. The fourth is leaving the design until after the summer, when late-August build-up collides with German holiday lead times. The fifth is buying floor area on a contracted show floor instead of buying build quality and a meeting space. Every one of them is decided before fabrication starts.
Getting Started
Send your stand size, your hall and stand number once Messe Frankfurt has issued it, how many bikes you intend to show and their weights, whether any are e-bikes needing charge points, and whether you expect to run dealer meetings. If your position is near the Agora, tell us — that changes the specification. You get a 3D design and an itemised all-in quote, at no charge and with no obligation.
For a brand exhibiting at more than one European show in a season, a reusable system frame carries the display wall and the storage from one to the next, with only the graphics changing. Our modular exhibition stands are built for exactly that pattern.
