Las responsabilidades del administrador de un stand de exposición

Every well-run stand has someone in charge of it — a booth manager who owns the operation so the rest of the team can focus on visitors. On stands without one, the gaps show. Here’s what the role actually involves across the life of a show.

Before the show: preparation

The booth manager owns the readiness — confirming the stand, staffing rota, lead-capture method, demo schedule and logistics are all in place. They’re the single point of contact with the stand builder and the organiser, so nothing falls between people. Most of the role’s value is created here, before anyone arrives.

During the show: running the floor

On show days the manager runs the operation: making sure the stand is staffed at peak times, the demos run, leads are captured properly, and problems — a failed light, a no-show, a difficult visitor — are handled without derailing the team. They watch the floor so the team can work the visitors.

During the show: the team

The manager keeps the team fresh and focused — managing breaks, stepping in where needed, and running the daily debrief. A tired or aimless team is the manager’s problem to fix, and a good one keeps energy up across long show days.

After the show: follow-through

When the show closes, the manager owns the handover — making sure leads reach the right people for follow-up, the dismantle and storage are handled, and the debrief captures what to improve. The role doesn’t end when the doors close; the return depends on this last part.

Why the role matters

Without a clear booth manager, responsibilities scatter and things slip — leads unrecorded, gaps in staffing, no follow-up. Naming one person to own the stand, with the authority to run it, is one of the simplest ways to lift a show’s results. It doesn’t need a senior title, just clear ownership.

Frequently asked questions

What does an expo booth manager do?

They own the stand operation: preparing staffing, lead capture, demos and logistics before the show; running the floor and keeping the team fresh during it; and handling the lead handover, dismantle and debrief afterward. They’re the single point of accountability for the stand.

Does a booth manager need to be senior?

No — the role needs clear ownership and the authority to run the stand, not a senior title. Naming one person to own the operation, so responsibilities don’t scatter, is what lifts results, regardless of their rank.
