What a custom stand costs at Over 200 m²
Projects above two hundred square metres run roughly €60,000 to €350,000, and the upper end reflects genuinely architectural projects — multi-level, fully serviced, with demonstration arenas and a build-up measured in days rather than hours. A large single-level pavilion in clad construction sits near the lower end; a multi-level, fully serviced structure with a demonstration arena and bespoke joinery throughout sits at the top. The bracket is wide because the projects genuinely are.
At this scale we quote in packages rather than as a single figure — structure and engineering, joinery and finishes, graphics, lighting and AV integration, services, freight and logistics, installation crew and site management, each priced separately. It is the only way the trade-offs stay visible, and it is how the budget gets managed during design rather than defended after it.
A country pavilion is a related but distinct commission. Many co-exhibitors under one identity, with shared reception, briefing space and back-of-house, and a co-ordination burden that has more in common with running an event than building a stand. If that is what you are describing, tell us early, because the design process, the approvals and the timeline all differ from a single-brand build of the same area.
Everything in the scope panel is included. Excluded and substantial: floor rental, venue power and full distribution, organiser fees, rigging, crane and forklift access, extended crew and overtime, AV hire, staff, catering, waste and cleaning. For projects at this size we provide a separate budget schedule for the venue-side costs alongside our own quote, because they are large enough that a surprise is not recoverable.

The programme matters as much as the plan
A stand this size succeeds or fails on how it is run — session times, staffing rotas, appointment scheduling, hospitality service. The exhibitors who get the most from this scale arrive with a run sheet as detailed as the floorplan.
Ten to fourteen weeks
From signed design, and that assumes approvals move at a normal pace. Country pavilions and multi-level structures sit at the long end. This is a size to commission the season before, not the quarter before.

How much does a custom stand over 200 m² cost?
Roughly €60,000–€350,000, about €300–€1000 per square metre. The bracket is wide because the projects are: a large single-level clad pavilion sits near the bottom, a multi-level fully serviced structure with a demonstration arena at the top. We quote in packages rather than as one figure so the trade-offs stay visible.
How is a project this size managed?

How long does it take?
Ten to fourteen weeks from signed design, assuming approvals move normally. Multi-level structures and country pavilions sit at the long end. This is a commission to place a season ahead rather than a quarter ahead.

Because a single figure hides where the money is and makes every budget conversation a negotiation about the total. Structure, joinery, graphics, lighting and AV, services, freight, crew and site management priced separately means the budget is managed during design instead of defended afterwards.
What are the biggest risks at this scale?
Approvals slipping and late artwork, in that order. Both are outside the workshop and neither can be recovered by working faster. We front-load the approvals conversation with the organiser and set artwork deadlines earlier than exhibitors expect, which is not caution — the schedule has nowhere to absorb a delay.
Can any of it be reused?
Freestanding joinery, counters, some rigged elements and occasionally a deck if the next hall’s loading rules match. Facades and engineered structures are built for one floorplan and one hall. We are explicit about this at quotation, because at this budget the reuse question deserves a straight answer rather than an optimistic one.
