What a custom stand costs at 80–100 m²
A bespoke build at eighty to a hundred square metres runs roughly €24,000 to €100,000, and where a project sits within it depends less on floor than on how much structure leaves the ground — decks, portals and suspended elements are where the money goes at this scale. A largely single-level stand with enclosed rooms and mounted lighting sits near the bottom of that bracket; a double-height structure with a raised deck and a suspended rig sits near the top.
Structural engineering becomes a real line rather than a formality here. Anything raised, suspended or spanning needs calculation, stamped drawings and hall-specific sign-off on loading and height. That work runs in parallel with fabrication and is on the venue’s timetable, which is why we ask for the hall and stand number before the design goes far rather than after it is approved internally.
Circulation is worth spending design time on at this size, and it costs nothing to get right at drawing stage. A hundred square metres with a poor route has a busy perimeter and a dead centre; the same plot with a considered sequence pulls people through the whole stand. It is the difference we see most often between two builds of identical budget.
The bracket covers design, engineering, fabrication, graphics, lighting, full Frankfurt pre-assembly, venue paperwork, freight, installation and dismantling. Excluded and significant at this scale: floor rental, venue power, organiser fees, rigging point charges billed per suspension, forklift or crane access during build-up, and daily cleaning.

At this size the design starts with circulation and adds volumes to it, rather than placing elements and hoping people flow. Which room a visitor meets first, and whether they can see a second reason to continue, decides how much of the stand gets used.
Height is where the budget goes
Eighty square metres of floor with a flat ceiling costs a fraction of eighty square metres with a double-height portal, a raised deck or a suspended structure. Vertical is what distinguishes a stand at this scale, and it is also what carries the engineering and the venue approvals.
Six to eight weeks, and hall-dependent
From signed design. Anything raised or suspended needs structural calculation and hall sign-off in parallel with fabrication, and that approval is on the venue’s timetable rather than ours.

How much does a custom stand between 80 and 100 m² cost?
Roughly €24,000–€100,000, or about €300–€1000 per square metre. The position within that bracket is set mainly by how much structure leaves the ground: a single-level build with enclosed rooms sits near the bottom, a double-height structure with a raised deck and suspended rig near the top.
What changes compared with 50–80 m²?
The design starts from circulation rather than from elements. At this size you are drawing a plan — a sequence of spaces with a route between them — and the question is what a visitor meets first and whether they can see a reason to continue. Below this you are arranging a room.
Does it need structural engineering?
Anything raised, suspended or spanning does, and at this size most designs include at least one. Calculation, stamped drawings and hall-specific sign-off on height and loading run in parallel with fabrication, on the venue’s timetable rather than ours.
How many enclosed rooms can it hold?
Three or four four-person rooms, or two larger ones, alongside a full display area and circulation. The practical limit is usually not floor but daylight and sightlines — too many closed volumes and the stand reads as a wall from the aisle.
How long is the lead time?
Six to eight weeks from signed design, with venue approvals running alongside. If your hall has a slow approvals process, that becomes the critical path rather than our workshop, and we will say so when we see it.
What about rigging?
Hall-specific, not venue-specific. Some halls permit suspension freely, some charge per point, some prohibit it. We confirm before the design depends on it, because replacing a suspended element with a floor-supported one changes the silhouette and usually the budget.
Is a double-decker an option instead?
At this footprint it starts to be worth asking. A second storey adds roughly sixty per cent more usable area on the same rented floor, at the cost of stamped structural engineering and a longer build-up. Whether it beats spending the same money on a larger single level depends on floor rental at your show, and we will do that arithmetic with you.
What is not included?
Floor space rental, venue power, organiser fees, AV hire, staff and catering. At this scale also budget rigging point charges, forklift or crane access during build-up, and daily stand cleaning — all billed by the venue.
