What a custom stand costs at 50–80 m²
A bespoke build in this range runs roughly €15,000 to €80,000, and the spread reflects how much of the build is joinery rather than panel — the single biggest cost variable once a stand has rooms in it. A fifty square metre stand with one room and a panel-based skin sits near the bottom; an eighty square metre build in solid joinery with a raised deck and rigged lighting sits near the top.
The variable that moves the number most is not the room count but the construction method. A wall built as a panel system with a bespoke finish and a wall built as solid joinery look similar in a render and different at arm’s length, and they cost perhaps three times apart. We price the two separately in the quote rather than presenting a single figure, because it is the one place where budget can be released without losing an element.
Acoustic separation deserves naming as a line item. A meeting room with visual privacy and no acoustic treatment is worse than an open table — people assume they cannot be heard and speak accordingly. Where the conversations warrant it we specify acoustic panelling and say so, rather than delivering a room that looks private and is not.
Design, structural engineering, fabrication, graphics, lighting, full Frankfurt pre-assembly, venue paperwork, freight, installation and dismantling are covered by the bracket. Floor rental, venue power, organiser fees, AV hire, staff and catering are not — see the scope panel. Fifty to eighty square metres is where an enclosed meeting room stops costing you the display. Nine to twelve square metres for a room leaves enough floor that the stand still reads as open from the aisle, which is the balance smaller footprints cannot strike.
Joinery is the cost driver
Once a stand has rooms, the question is how much of it is built joinery and how much is panel system with a bespoke skin. The two look different at arm’s length and cost very differently. We price them separately in the quote so the trade-off is visible rather than buried.

How much does a custom stand between 50 and 80 m² cost?
Roughly €15,000–€80,000, which corresponds to about €300–€1000 per square metre across the European market. Where a project lands inside that is decided mainly by construction method: a panel system with a bespoke skin against solid joinery is roughly a threefold difference on the same drawing.
Can I have a proper enclosed meeting room?
Yes — this is the range where it stops costing you the display. Nine to twelve square metres for a four to six person room still leaves enough floor for the stand to read as open from the aisle, which is not true below about fifty square metres.
Will the meeting room actually be private?
Only if it is specified that way. Visual privacy is standard; acoustic separation is a specification item involving panelling and door detail. A room that looks private but is not is worse than an open table, because people speak freely on the assumption. We name it in the quote rather than assuming.
What drives the cost most at this size?

Is a raised deck possible?
Usually, subject to the hall. A raised platform needs structural sign-off and the venue’s permission on loading, and some halls restrict it. We check the specific hall before the design commits, because removing a deck after approval changes the whole layout above and below it.
Can any of it be reused at the next show?
Counters, freestanding joinery and rigged elements often can be stored and redeployed. Room structures are built to one floorplan and generally cannot. We mark at design stage which pieces travel so storage is a decision rather than a surprise.
What is not included?
Floor space rental, venue power connection, organiser fees, AV hire, stand staff and catering. At this footprint also budget for daily stand cleaning, which most venues bill separately once a stand reaches this size.
